Lend a Hand to Education
The Delaware Township Community Education Foundation (DTCEF), founded in 1994, was created with the mission of strengthening the educational opportunities for DTS students by enhancing the resources available to them through the regular curriculum, and by augmenting that curriculum through the provision of enrichment programs. It is our purpose to include members of the broader Delaware Township community in these efforts, both through participation and financial support. We work closely with the PTA and school administration but are an independent organization dependent on volunteer effort, locally raised funds, grants and corporate donations.
DTCEF provides a fall and spring after-school enrichment program, a mini-grant program for teachers, Saturday family enrichment days, funding for introducing theatre to DTS students, and funding for the Elementary and Middle School plays. DTCEF also sponsors a bookplate campaign and supports the Elementary School Science Center and Science Fair.
We, and our children, need corporate and grant support to supplement our efforts. DTCEF is now eligible for United Way funding and is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization administered by a Board of Trustees made up of local residents. Please consider naming us as a recipient of your United Way donation. Our organization’s number is 028681.
